17th March 2008 – 9 months old
9 months old checkup at Yishun Polyclinic
Time for my 9 months old checkup! I am having some running and blocked nose, so the nurse said may affect my hearing test. Therefore, I will need to postpone my checkup to 2 weeks later.
What the nurse did.
1) Gave me a funky toy and asked me to look in front.
2) See if I respond to the zzzz, ssss sound from a hand-held machine she had on her hand from my left ear and my right ear.
Out of the 6 tests she did, I responded only 3 times. While the other 3 times, I was trying to reach for the toy in front of me.

I did a new stunt today
Today, in front of grandma and mummy, I did a new stunt. Holding on to the bench above me and up I go. Yeah, I am standing up straight, and reaching out for my toy box. Grandma and Mummy were so scared that I will fall down, holding onto me tightly. Haha!

First time fell down from the bed

This morning, while daddy was sleeping and mummy went to make milk for me, I fell off the bed. BUMP!!! Guess it is all part of growing up… Falling down… Wa! Wa! Luckily I’ve got no balugu…

First time to Ang Mo Kio Hub
This evening we went to AMK Hub for shopping and Mummy brought me a new toy. But it was only a 3 minute interest of mine. After we got home, I simply ignored the new toy Mummy brought me. Guess I am more interested in the toys that have music and bells.

First trip to Changi Airport Terminal 3

We were on the way back from Johor Bahru and going to send my grand-aunt to the Airport (She is going to Melbourne! So envy!) I was so tired that I slept throughout the whole journey as I did not sleep for the whole day. Once we reached the airport Terminal 1, I was so excited and wanted to get out of the car. However we didn’t know it was Terminal 3, so being presumptious we thought must be T2, therefore Daddy had to lug the big luggage from T2 to T3 and Mummy carried me and accompanied Grand Aunt to Terminal 3 via the SkyTrain. I was as excited as it is my first time being on the SkyTrain and I kept on looking around, making sure that I don't miss anything. When we reached Terminal 3, I was so excited over the flying orchid and kept on shouting at it. See the orchid behind me?

First time celebrating Daddy’s birthday

The false measles came out yesterday night. My whole body, including my face was filled with dots and dots of red patches. Daddy and Mummy brought me back to TMC for a review checkup and it was really a false alarm. What a relief!

We then went to a Thai restaurant in Thomson road with Lao Gor to celebrate Daddy’s birthday. We had a birthday lunch and a mango birthday cake. Yummy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!!

I've got a high fever
Today in the middle of the night, I've suddenly got a high fever of 38 plus degrees. Mummy then put the cool pad on my head and took me to the GP when the sun rise. The GP gave the fever medicine for me and told my mummy and granny that it could be false measles which some babies may have. It means very high fever for a few days and once the measles is out, the fever will be gone. I was forced to take the fever medicine, help me!!!

My temperature did not go down at all and still in the range of 38 degrees to 40 degrees. Mummy and Daddy was very worried. The next morning, Grandma and Mummy then took me to Thomson Medical Centre (Pediatric Centre) to see Dr Ang Ai Tin. I was then sent for a blood test. Ouch!! So painful!!! Sob Sob... I was again given 2 different kinds of medicine and have to go back for review 4 days later. Forced to take the medicine again... Help!!! The medicine is quite effective. From 40 degrees, it went down to 37 degrees after one dose of medicine. Even though, I was forced to take the medicine every 4 hourly.

My new walker

Daddy took half day leave from work today. I went shopping today with granny, daddy and mummy when mummy is off from work. We met at Causeway Point shopping centre at 6.30pm. And I’ve got a new walker. After we got home, daddy spent about 20 mins trying to put everything together and I've got to run in the walker. Yippee.
